The Armada Family Practice is located at Whitchurch Health Centre, a modern, purpose built health centre.
We currently have a team of 12 Receptionist who provide an efficient reception service to the patients of the Health Centre.
People who visit the doctor/nurse are usually unwell and not always in the best of spirits, they may raise their voice; so only apply if you feel you have the personality that can offer the patience and understanding they need.

We are looking to recruit a General Practice Care Navigator to join our friendly experienced team.
Whilst it is a very challenging role, you will work within an established team and practice that support each other well.
You will be trained to navigate patients to receive the right care at the right time, by the right clinician.
Hours: 20 hours per week (Monday-Saturday). Shift patterns include a regular mixture of 8:15am-1:15pm, 1:30pm-6:30pm, 1:45pm-6:45pm and 2pm-8pm (which may be subject to change). As part of your contract you may also be required to work an additional 10 extra hours a week to meet the operational needs of the business.
starting rate: £12.71
Main Duties:
- Providing a high standard of customer service including a warm welcome to all visitors to the practice reception desk
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of patients records and clinically related matters at all times
- You will be expected to help patients get the right care at the right time by navigating them to the most appropriate clinician
- Receiving incoming calls, making appointments, taking information requests from other professionals, Provide test results (where indicated by the GP) taking messages as appropriate i.e. requests for home visits.
- Answering queries over the telephone and face-to-face
- Fire warden duties to ensure the safety of the working environment
- Data inputting onto electronic medical records
- Administrative work.
