Stix & Stones are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing exceptional service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, serving customers, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our establishment. Your ability to manage time effectively and adhere to food safety standards will be crucial in maintaining our high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and responding to inquiries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
- Monitor inventory levels of spirits, mixers, and garnishes, placing orders as necessary to ensure stock availability.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and responsible serving practices.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
- Assist in training new staff members on bartending techniques and customer service standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred, with specific bartending experience being highly advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during busy periods.
- Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and drink measurements.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining health standards within the bar area.
- A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with customers and team members alike.
