We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LifeSkill Development Coach (Support Worker) to join our team in Eastbourne. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support young people through personalised development programmes, fostering essential life skills and leadership qualities and doing care the right way. The ideal candidates will have a passion for mentoring, working with adults, and making a positive impact within the community. with opportunities to take on leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging life skills programmes tailored to the needs of the people we support, promoting independence, confidence, and resilience
- Provide one-to-one mentoring and support to the people, encouraging their personal growth and self-esteem
- Assist in organising group activities, workshops, and community projects that enhance social skills and teamwork
- Support behavioural management strategies within educational or community settings
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external organisations to ensure holistic support for participants
- Lead by example in demonstrating positive behaviour, communication skills, and leadership qualities
- Maintain accurate records of progress and activities in accordance with organisational policies
Qualifications
- Experience in care is highly desirable
- Strong mentoring and support skills with a genuine interest in development
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging activities effectively
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
