Duties
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications following pharmacist instructions and legal guidelines
- Verify prescriptions for correctness, dosage, and potential interactions to ensure patient safety
- Assist patients with medication inquiries, providing clear instructions and guidance on proper usage
- Prepare and label medication packages with precision, maintaining meticulous records of all transactions
- Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves, checking expiry dates, and ordering supplies as needed
- Support the pharmacy team in maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant workspace
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify prescriptions or resolve medication-related issues
Requirements
- Proven pharmacy dispenser experience or relevant background in medication dispensing
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Strong commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Certification or licensing as required by local regulations, or being open to initiating relavent courses.
