Padel Club Manager
Job Overview
Primo Padel Club is looking for an experienced and passionate Padel Club Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our new padel club.
This is a key leadership role combining club management with responsibility for the development of our padel offering. We are therefore looking for someone with genuine experience and knowledge of padel who understands both the operational and playing side of a successful padel club.
You will take ownership of the overall club experience, leading the team, maintaining high operational standards and ensuring our players receive an exceptional experience every time they visit.
Alongside the operational responsibilities, you will lead the development of our padel community and programme, including coaching, social sessions, leagues, tournaments, academies and player development.
The successful candidate will be commercially minded, highly organised and passionate about building a thriving padel community.
Key Responsibilities
Club Operations
- Lead the day-to-day operation of Primo Padel Club and ensure the club runs efficiently and professionally.
- Recruit, train, manage and motivate the club team.
- Manage staff rotas and ensure appropriate staffing levels across the operation.
- Maintain excellent standards of customer service and overall player experience.
- Oversee court bookings, memberships, racket hire and club systems.
- Ensure courts, equipment, changing facilities and all customer areas are maintained to a high standard.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, cleanliness and operational compliance.
- Manage customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally.
- Support the operation and performance of the club’s café and hospitality offering.
Padel & Coaching
- Take ownership of the club’s overall padel programme.
- Recruit, manage and develop the club’s coaching team.
- Create and manage the coaching timetable and ensure consistently high coaching standards.
- Develop programmes for beginners, intermediate and advanced players.
- Develop junior coaching and academy programmes.
- Organise social padel sessions, Americanos, leagues, competitions and tournaments.
- Help players find appropriate games, coaching and opportunities to progress.
- Personally deliver coaching sessions where appropriate.
- Stay up to date with developments and trends within the UK and international padel industry.
Community & Events
- Build a strong and welcoming Primo Padel community.
- Develop regular social events and activities that encourage players to return frequently.
- Organise tournaments, leagues, corporate events and community initiatives.
- Develop relationships with local businesses, schools, organisations and potential partners.
- Work with the wider Primo team on promotions, launches and club events.
Commercial Performance
- Drive court utilisation, memberships, coaching participation and secondary spend.
- Monitor key performance indicators including occupancy, membership growth, coaching revenue, events and customer retention.
- Identify opportunities to increase club revenue and improve the customer experience.
- Monitor retail, equipment hire and other club revenue streams.
- Work closely with the owners to achieve the club’s commercial objectives.
Experience & Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience working within padel.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the sport of padel and the padel community.
- Previous management or leadership experience within a padel club, sports facility, leisure venue or similar environment.
- Experience managing and motivating a team.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of how to drive participation and revenue.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
Desirable
- Previous experience managing a padel club or padel operation.
- Recognised padel coaching qualification.
- Experience managing padel coaches and coaching programmes.
- Experience with padel booking and club-management platforms.
- Existing relationships within the UK padel community.
- Experience organising leagues, tournaments, Americanos and other padel events.
- Experience developing junior or academy programmes.
About You
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t simply want to manage a sports facility.
You should live and breathe padel, understand what makes players return to a club and have the ambition to help establish Primo Padel as one of London’s leading padel destinations.
You will be equally comfortable managing a busy club operation, leading a team, speaking with players, developing coaches and getting on court when required.
Most importantly, you’ll take ownership of the club and help create the community and experience that defines Primo Padel.
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
