We’re now looking for an ambitious Assistant Manager to assist our general manager of the day-to-day operation of KINU. This isn’t simply about running shifts - t’s about leading people, growing the business, improving performance and helping shape the future of KINU.

The Role
As our Assistant Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of daily operations—supporting the General Manager, leading by example, and ensuring every guest interaction reflects our high standards. You’ll empower your team to deliver outstanding service, solve challenges with creativity, and keep the business running smoothly, even on the busiest days.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & People
- Oversee daily front-of-house and/or back-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service flow.
- Lead, motivate, and coach team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Monitor quality, cleanliness, and presentation standards across all areas.
- Assist with scheduling, stock control, and cost management to meet business targets.
- Handle guest feedback with professionalism, turning challenges into opportunities.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of staff.
- Step in for the General Manager when required, making confident operational decisions.
What You'll Bring
- Previous supervisory or management experience in hospitality (hotel, restaurant, or similar).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- A guest-first mindset and a natural flair for problem-solving.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence in handling busy service periods and unexpected challenges.
- Knowledge of health & safety, food hygiene, and compliance standards.
