Who we are
SupaJam is a music focused post-16 Specialist Provider, supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged 16 - 25 year olds across our five bases in Brighton, Canterbury, Earls Court, Swanley and Wandsworth.
All of our students have EHC (Education, Health and Care) plans and a variety of SEN (Special Educational) needs and have previously disengaged from mainstream education.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to support teachers and students in a creative environment at an innovative and forward thinking music college in Wandsworth. This role would suit candidates with teaching experience and experience of working with young people with special educational needs (SEND). SupaJam Brighton opened with 7 students and now supports a cohort of 40 (and growing!) with a focus on real life experiences in the creative music industry.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our team in Wandsworth. This full-time position is ideal for someone committed to delivering high quality teaching and fostering an environment where students can truly thrive. You will play a central role in planning engaging English lessons, assessments, as well as actively contributing to our collaborative and supportive staff culture.
We are looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, or a Level 5 teaching qualification with experience of teaching English in Primary, Secondary or Further Education settings.
- Knowedge of Ed-Excel GCSE or NCFE Functionsl Skills English syllabus would be beneficial.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of using Google systems, including Google Classroom, Google sheets and Google Docs
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A calm natured individual that is prepared to support learners who find English a struggle to engage with
- Keen interest in professional development and willingness to undertake ongoing training.
- Passion for supporting young adults with special educational needs
- Interest in the music or the creative music industries desriable.
