Bristol Ambulance (Part of EMED Group) have a fantastic opportunity for Ambulance Care Assistants to join our team based in Bristol.
We're seeking compassionate individuals to provide essential support to patients during their medical journeys.
An Ambulance Care Assistant (ACA) is a hugely rewarding and fulfilling role. Each day, you’ll be helping someone in need, making their lives that little bit easier, and knowing that you make a difference to their day provides you with a real sense of achievement.
Part time hours are 24/36 hours per week (12 hours shifts). (Start times between 06:00 - 19:00)

Other duties include:
- Assisting in the transportation of ‘end of life’ patients, ensuring a high level of empathy is present at all times
- Building rapport by effectively communicating with patients and their relatives/friends
- Responsible for lifting, securing and helping patients in and out of the Ambulance
- Assist with the handing over of patients to appropriate staff on arrival at treatment centres/hospital’s or to family/friends at their homes.
- Transfer patients from beds to stretchers, chairs to chairs or similar both in and out of hospital and medical settings.
- Ensuring that the ambulance is kept safe, clean and tidy
Do you have what it takes?
- Full UK manual driving license (held for minimum 12 months if over 21, or 24 months if under 21)
- You have experience in Care (HCA, Support worker, etc) - advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Physical fitness to assist patients with mobility needs
