Complex Care Live in Carer
Location: Bognor
Rate of Pay from £14.00 per hour
Shifts available: Day shifts 8am – 8pm / Night shifts 8pm – 8am and Bank Contracts.
We are looking for compassionate, dedicated and experienced Support Workers to join our team in Bognor.

We are looking for an experienced, empathetic, caring and hardworking Support Worker to join our team supporting a 59-year-old gentleman in his own home.
Our client is living with an acquired brain injury following a road traffic accident and has complex care needs. He is motivated and engaged in his rehabilitation and is working towards his goal of returning home to live with his family. He has a strong multidisciplinary team around him, and you will play an important role in supporting his independence, wellbeing and rehabilitation journey.

About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support in our client's home, assisting with:
- Personal care and oral hygiene
- Transfers and safe manual handling
- Catheter management
- Skin integrity and pressure area care
- Seizure management
- Medication administration
- Meal preparation and cooking
- Communication and supporting expressive dysphasia
- Supporting outings and activities within the community
- Encouraging independence and participation in rehabilitation
- Providing companionship and emotional support
Our client enjoys getting out into the community, so driving is an important part of the role. You will need to be confident supporting him to access activities and appointments outside the home.
What You Will Need
- Experience of working in a care environment or supporting individuals with complex care needs
- Experience supporting individuals with an acquired brain injury is desirable
- Good manual handling skills and an understanding of safe transfers
- Good communication skills and the ability to communicate patiently and effectively
- A caring, reliable and respectful approach
- A flexible approach and the ability to think on your feet
- Confidence supporting with personal care and clinical care needs
- Ability to drive and hold a full UK driving licence
- Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent NVQ/QCF Level 2 is desirable
