Join Our Team as an NHS Receptionist/Admin!
Location: Margarete Centre, NW1 2LS / JML House, NW5 3EG
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 9-5
Trust: Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust
Band: 3 / £12.97 per hour
Placement Type: Temporary, 4/5 months or up to 30th March 2025, subject to review.
Key Responsibilities:
- Frontline Service: Be the welcoming face and first point of contact for the public, service users, and carers. Handle phone calls and face-to-face enquiries, providing essential information within confidentiality guidelines and directing enquiries as needed.
- Mail Management: Coordinate mail, manage incoming and outgoing post, and facilitate mail-outs efficiently.
- Database Maintenance: Keep internal service databases up to date, including Rio and Carenotes, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting.
- Professional Liaison: Maintain regular communication with professional staff via face-to-face, email, and telephone to support data reporting and information management.
- Filing & Record-Keeping: Organize and maintain patient notes and ensure adherence to confidentiality policies, both manually and electronically.
- General Admin Support: Perform additional administrative tasks relevant to the role.

Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong educational background, including GCSEs or equivalent in Maths & English.
- A recognized secretarial qualification (RSA3) or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in diary management and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent keyboard and computer skills.
- Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
- Ability to handle challenging environments with professionalism.
- Experience in an administrative or reception role, particularly in a professional setting.
· This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
