About Marshall Construction
Marshall Construction is a growing main contractor delivering construction, refurbishment and maintenance projects across the public, commercial and industrial sectors.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an organised and proactive Office Administrator to support our construction projects and wider business operations.
The position will be based at our office within Liverpool Innovation Park on Edge Lane, a vibrant and busy business location with a modern, professional working environment.
This is a varied role suited to someone who is confident managing multiple administrative tasks, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys working as part of a busy team.
Key Responsibilities
The role will include:
- Providing general construction and project administration support
- Assisting project managers and the wider delivery team
- Preparing quotations, purchase orders and invoices
- Using Xero software to support invoicing, financial administration and record keeping
- Supporting CIS administration and subcontractor payment processes
- Managing contractor and subcontractor documentation
- Maintaining accurate project and company records
- Completing document control duties, including filing, issuing and tracking documents
- Maintaining digital and physical filing systems
- Collating timesheets, invoices and supporting financial information
- Assisting with ad-hoc financial reporting
- Monitoring email correspondence and responding to general enquiries
- Supporting tender, procurement and project handover documentation
- Completing general office and business administration duties as required
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous administration experience, ideally within construction, property or a similar industry
- Previous experience using Xero accounting software
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other office software
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- A professional and reliable approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with CIS administration, construction documentation, quotations, invoicing or subcontractor administration would also be beneficial.
