We’re currently seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Blaby (LE8). The school supports pupils aged 4-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, offering a rewarding and dynamic environment for the right candidate.
This position is particularly suited to individuals from backgrounds such as sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, education or behaviour support. If you’re confident, resilient, and passionate about making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
Role Overview
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Working hours: 8:30am – 3:40pm
- £110 per day (term time only)
- Temp-to-perm contract
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Work on a 1:1 basis and with small groups
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
- Support emotional regulation strategies
- Assist teaching staff within a structured classroom setting
Who We’re Looking For
- Sports Coaches or individuals with a PE background
- Teaching Assistants
- Psychology or Education Graduates
- Youth Workers or Behaviour Mentors
- Anyone with experience supporting children or young people (including placements)
