Deputy Manager – Supported Accommodation for Young People
Location: Across our services in the North West
Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week (Monday–Sunday, flexible shifts)

Are you an experienced, passionate leader who is committed to improving the lives of young people? We're looking for a dedicated Deputy Manager to support the delivery of outstanding supported accommodation services and help young people develop the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to achieve independence.
As Deputy Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the Registered Service Manager with the day-to-day running of our services, leading and developing staff, maintaining high standards of care and compliance, and ensuring every young person receives the support they need to thrive.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Deputy Manager, you will:
- Support the day-to-day management of the service and lead the homes in the absence of the Registered Service Manager.
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support to young people, helping them develop independence and achieve positive outcomes.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with young people while promoting clear boundaries and consistency.
- Support young people to access education, employment, apprenticeships, and training opportunities.
- Deliver regular key work sessions and contribute to personalised support plans.
- Work collaboratively with families, local authorities, education providers, and other professionals.
- Ensure young people are actively involved in decisions about their lives and support.
- Lead, motivate, supervise, and develop staff through inductions, supervision, and team meetings.
- Assist with recruitment, training, rotas, and timesheet verification.
- Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and company policies through regular audits and quality assurance.
- Monitor budgets and contribute to the effective management of resources.
- Promote a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for both young people and staff.
- Support the development of new services, including setting up and refurbishing accommodation when required.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children and young people in supported accommodation or residential care.
- Has previous supervisory or management experience within a care setting.
- Has a sound understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and Ofsted standards.
- Can confidently lead and inspire a team.
- Has excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for young people.
- Can build positive relationships with external agencies, commissioners, and local authorities.
- Is flexible and able to work across a varied shift pattern, including weekends where required.
