Female Rehabilitation Support Worker – Erith, Bexley
£17.85 per hour weekdays | £20.01 per hour weekends | Sleep-in rate £119.58–£124.33 per shift
We are looking for warm, reliable and proactive Female Rehabilitation Support Workers to join a small established team supporting a young adult woman with complex needs in her family home in Erith, Bexley.
We are recruiting for both permanent contracted roles and bank staff. Due to the current rota requirements, applicants who can offer regular Friday waking nights and/or weekend availability are particularly encouraged to apply.
Friday and weekend availability
We are seeking reliable Support Workers who can commit to regular Friday and/or weekend shifts. We can consider applicants for permanent contracted hours, bank work, or both.
Day and evening shifts
- Saturday late/afternoon shift: 16:00–21:00 — three weekends in every four
- Sunday early/day shift: 07:45–16:15 — every Sunday
- Sunday late/afternoon shift: 16:00–21:00 — every Sunday
Overnight shifts
- Friday waking night: 20:45–08:00 — two weekends in every four
- Saturday waking night: 20:45–08:00 — two weekends in every four
- Saturday sleep-in shift: 20:45–08:00 — two weekends in every four
- Sunday waking night: 20:45–08:00 — two weekends in every four

Rates of pay
Day shifts and waking nights
- Monday to Friday: £17.85 per hour
- Saturday and Sunday: £20.01 per hour
- Bank holidays: 2 × usual weekday hourly rate
Sleep-in shifts
- Monday to Friday: £119.58 per shift
- Saturday and Sunday: £124.33 per shift
- Bank holidays: 2 × usual weekday sleep-in rate
After completing one full year of service, employees receive an automatic pay increase of approximately £1.50 per hour.
The Client
Our client has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and both learning and physical disabilities. When she is in pain, she may become upset or frustrated to express her needs. At times, this may include kicking, pinching, or refusing personal care, meals, or drinks.
The role includes personal care, manual handling, and administering medication. The client loves swimming and hydrotherapy sessions, so you must be comfortable in the water, although swimming ability is not essential. You will also take part in her rehabilitation programme, following training and guidance from her multidisciplinary team (MDT) and adhering to her care plan.

Our client is encouraged to live as full, active, and comfortable a life as possible. Social and recreational activities are therefore a vital part of her day. As she is non-verbal, learning her communication strategies is essential. We are looking for bubbly, proactive, and creative individuals who are willing to engage fully in her activities and rehabilitation programmes.
Person Specification
- Experience working with acquired brain or spinal injury is an advantage
- Experience as a Support Worker is essential
- Full UK driving licence (you will need to drive the client’s adapted vehicle)
- Comfortable in water to participate in hydrotherapy
- Ability to accompany the client on holidays is an advantage
A full driving licence is required, as you will be expected to drive the client’s vehicle.
