Vector Volt is an electrical installation contractor delivering cable installation works on battery energy storage (BESS) and substation projects across the UK. We are building our approved subcontractor pool now for projects mobilising from late 2026, with the first sites expected in Scotland.
£280 – £350 per day (CIS), depending on experience and certifications. Accommodation provided at no cost to you for away work.
The work:
Cable pulling and installation (LV multicore, control and fibre), SWA glanding and termination, containment and ladder rack installation, cable dressing and identification, working as part of a small team under a Vector Volt team leader on live energy construction sites. This is installation only – no design, testing or commissioning.
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation + AM2 (ECS Gold Card)
- BS 7671 18th Edition
- Valid ECS card
- Proven commercial or industrial installation experience, including SWA glanding/termination and containment
- Own hand tools and PPE
- Willing to work away from home Monday–Friday
- Right to work in the UK
- Full agreement to our zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy, including random and for-cause testing
Desirable:
- Experience on BESS, solar farm, substation or DNO sites
- C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing
- IPAF, PASMA, confined space, first aid
- CompEx (current or lapsed)
Terms:
CIS self-employed subcontract basis – you'll need a UTR and will be responsible for your own tax and National Insurance. Rates paid weekly. Accommodation for away work is provided by us in shared houses – strictly no smoking and no pets.
