Bank House is a popular restaurant in the heart of Hathersage, renowned for exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and memorable guest experiences. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who is passionate about great food, eager to develop their skills, and ready to play an important role within a busy, professional kitchen.
The Role
As Chef de Partie, you will take responsibility for your designated section, ensuring dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards. Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen while maintaining excellent standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organisation.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a team, and is keen to develop their career within a growing independent hospitality group.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain your section during preparation and service
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to consistently high standards
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures are followed
- Support the wider kitchen team to deliver smooth and efficient service
- Assist with stock rotation, storage, and waste management
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation across all kitchen areas
- Follow company standards, recipes, and procedures
- Support the training and development of junior team members where required
- Contribute ideas and feedback to support menu development and continuous improvement
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about food and committed to delivering quality every day.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie, or a strong Commis Chef ready for the next step
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- A willingness to learn, develop, and take ownership of your section
- A genuine passion for hospitality and great food
