Job Summary
Table Twenty Eight are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall kitchen operations. The Chef de Partie will work closely with the head chef and other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food preparation meets quality, presentation, and safety standards
- Assist in the organisation and management of specific sections within the kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work stations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Support team members during busy service periods to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently, including proper food handling and hygiene practices
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas and innovative dishes
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly within a professional kitchen environment
- Prior restaurant experience is highly desirable, especially in a similar role or fine dining setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in culinary hygiene
- Experience working with diverse cuisines is advantageous but not essential
- Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service principles is beneficial but not mandatory
