We're looking for a Head of Operations to take ownership of Tyred's day-to-day repair operations — the routes, the mechanics, the client relationships, and the standards that keep both our B2B fleet contracts and B2C customer repairs running reliably. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll be close enough to the work to make good calls on a broken bike or a mechanic short of a skill, while also building the systems and structure that let the operation scale into new clients and new cities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own daily operational delivery across both B2B fleet contracts and B2C customer repairs, ensuring SLAs and service standards are consistently met.
- Manage, coach and schedule the mechanic and field technician team, matching jobs to skills and identifying training needs.
- Build and refine route planning and job allocation processes across London's operating clusters, working with the ticketing/job system.
- Act as a key point of contact for B2B clients on operational matters — service issues, escalations, and performance reviews — and oversee service quality and turnaround for B2C repair customers.
- Maintain and improve tooling, spares and kit provisioning across sites, ensuring technicians are always properly equipped.
- Own operational KPIs (turnaround times, first-time-fix rate, client satisfaction) and report on them regularly to the founder.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new mechanics and operations staff as the team grows.
- Help design and document standard operating procedures so operational knowledge isn't held in one person's head.
- Work closely with the founder on expansion planning as Tyred grows into new cities and client verticals.
