Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Building Site Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting various site activities, assisting with labour-intensive tasks, and ensuring the smooth progress of building projects. Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment on site.
- Support tradespeople by preparing work areas, including cleaning and organising tools and materials.
- Carry out manual tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving materials as directed.
- Help with the erection of scaffolding, barriers, or other temporary structures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by clearing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Follow instructions from supervisors regarding daily tasks and project requirements.
- Assist with site logistics, including transporting materials around the site using wheelbarrows or other equipment.
- Support in setting up safety signage and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- No formal qualifications are required; however, previous experience in construction or labouring roles is advantageous.
- Good physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong team player with good communication skills.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks as required.
- Valid UK driving licence is essential
