Overview
Join our dynamic team as an FLT Driver/Warehouse Operative and become a vital part of our fast-paced logistics operation. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating forklift trucks to move materials efficiently within the warehouse, as well as supporting various warehouse functions. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes, helping us deliver excellence every day. This will be working shifts, usually 6am - 2pm Monday to Friday
Duties
- Safely operate forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transport goods throughout the facility
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and organization within the warehouse
- Support inventory management by updating the warehouse management system accurately and efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed to move products or materials safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to health and safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklift trucks (certification preferred) and familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Mechanical knowledge or basic equipment repair skills are highly desirable
- Strong materials handling skills with the ability to load and unload efficiently
- Good understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and documentation processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and data entry
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; a proactive attitude is key
- Commitment to maintaining safety standards and following operational protocols
