The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Electrical Estimator looking to join a well-established and growing building services contractor?
We are looking for an Electrical Estimator to support our expanding operations across York and the North West, producing accurate and competitive estimates for a wide range of commercial electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate electrical estimates and tender submissions.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Produce detailed cost breakdowns for labour, materials and subcontractors.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Identify value engineering opportunities to maximise project profitability.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal departments throughout the tender process.
- Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where required.
- Ensure estimates are completed within required timescales.
- Assist with handovers to the delivery team following successful tenders.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and pricing databases.
Experience Required
- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator.
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience producing competitive tenders from first principles.
- Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent) desirable.
- Electrical industry background preferred.
- Estimating experience within the Building Services or M&E sector.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
