Our client, a well-established and growing fresh food manufacturer in Northern Ireland, is currently seeking Charge Hands / Production Operatives to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader to take ownership of a production line and play a key role in delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining team leadership, operational oversight, and problem-solving on the factory floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a team to achieve daily production targets
- Ensure production lines are set up correctly, with machinery clean, safe, and ready for operation
- Monitor team and machine performance to maximise efficiency
- Ensure all production, quality, and compliance documentation is completed accurately
- Respond promptly to any issues, including equipment faults, quality concerns, or safety risks
- Work closely with supervisors to plan and execute production schedules
- Ensure all orders are completed on time and to required standards
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within a production or manufacturing environment (food industry experience advantageous)
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, proactive approach
- High attention to detail, particularly in relation to quality and compliance standards
- Ability to remain organised and make effective decisions in a fast-paced setting
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly
