We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Food Beverage Supervisor to join our hospitality team at a busy Highland hotel. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional looking to develop their career within a stunning Scottish location. The successful candidate will assist in the daily operation of the restaurant, bar and events services, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while supporting and leading the Food Beverage team.
Live-in accommodation is available for the right candidate.
- Support the Food Beverage Manager in the day-to-day operation of all FB outlets.
- Supervise restaurant, bar, breakfast and event service to ensure high standards are consistently maintained.
- Lead, motivate and train team members to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by responding professionally and efficiently to enquiries, requests and complaints.
- Assist with staff scheduling, rota management and daily team briefings.
- Monitor service standards, presentation and cleanliness throughout all FB areas.
- Support stock control, ordering, inventory management and wastage reduction.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, licensing regulations and health safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate cash handling and end-of-shift procedures.
- Assist with conference, wedding and special event operations as required.
- Act as Duty Manager when required, providing leadership across the hotel operation.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within hospitality, restaurant, hotel or bar operations.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Experience working within hotels or resort environments.
- Knowledge of Scottish hospitality and tourism.
- Personal Licence Holder qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- First Aid certification.
- Experience using hospitality EPOS and reservation systems.

Built in the early 1900s, the 83-bedroom Caledonian Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in the area. It still boasts a quiet, friendly and welcoming atmosphere and pleasant gardens.
The Hotel overlooks Ullapool's working harbour and the colourful fishing boats on Loch Broom. To the right of the hotel is the Fowler Memorial Clock - said to be the most photographed clock in the Highlands.
