Job Summary

As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen personnel, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Supervise and oversee kitchen staff during service, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Lead food production activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with hygiene standards
- Monitor food quality throughout preparation and presentation to uphold brand standards
- Support training programmes for junior team members to enhance their skills in food safety, preparation, and service
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Experience
- Proven experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Background in food production, cooking, and food presentation
- Demonstrable expertise in food safety protocols and hygiene standards
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of culinary techniques across various cuisines is advantageous
