Role Overview
We are looking for an energetic, proactive, and hands-on Auction Floor Assistant to join our team. If you thrive in a bustling atmosphere, enjoy handling unique items, and enjoy interacting with customers, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Cataloguing & Photography: Assist with researching, accurately describing, and photographing items for online and print catalogues.
- Pre-Sale Setup: Organise and carefully display lots across the saleroom floor ahead of public viewings.
- Auction Day Support: Assist customers during pre-sale viewings and help winning buyers locate and collect their items after the auction.
- Administration: Help process post-auction paperwork, invoices, and customer payments.
- Deliveries: Coordinate incoming and outgoing logistics and assist with loading/unloading goods.
Requirements & Skills
- Physical Fitness: Essential. This role requires regular manual handling, heavy lifting, and movement of unique or fragile items.
- Attention to Detail: High precision needed for logging item specifications and handling goods safely.
- Customer Skills: A warm, approachable manner to assist our buyers and sellers on the floor.
- Reliability: Adaptable and ready to work across a flexible weekly shift structure.
Schedule & Benefits
- Shift Pattern: 4 days spread across Monday through Sunday on a rota basis.
- Hourly Rate: £12.71/hr
