Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Support Workers to provide high-quality assistance to individuals in Supported Living care settings. The role involves supporting patients with daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and fostering a comfortable environment. Experience in mental and physical health needs, neurodiversity, dementia, sensory impairment is highly valued. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent caregiving skills, patience, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of those in their care.
Duties
- Assist residents with personal care routines including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Help with mobility and perform heavy lifting when necessary to ensure safety
- Manage behaviour challenges with patience and effective behaviour management techniques
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Support with activities of daily living such as toileting and mobility assistance
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and observe any changes in health or behaviour
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including first aid when necessary
Skills
- Proven experience in supported living or home care environments
- Knowledge of patient care practices including mental and physical health needs, neurodiversity, dementia, sensory impairment
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards vulnerable individuals
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and team members
- Basic first aid knowledge and ability to respond effectively in emergencies
- Competence in medication administration following strict protocols
- Reliable driving skills for transporting clients safely
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Flexibility to adapt to different care settings and client needs

Pay: £12.82-£14.00 per hour
