Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Cafe All-Rounder / Barista to join our dynamic team. This role involves delivering excellent customer service, preparing a variety of food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and food, with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in a similar role is needed, full training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a vibrant café environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffees, teas, and smoothies.
- prepare all food tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, breakfasts, burgers, hot food and snacks.
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring an excellent customer experience.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all areas of the café.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system.
- Keep the café clean and tidy, including cleaning work surfaces, equipment, and customer areas.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support team members during busy periods by sharing responsibilities as required.
Skills
- Proven experience with food or in a similar customer service role is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
- Ability to prepare food and beverages efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
