Job Summary
Peter Harding & Co Construction are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter & Decorator with IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification to join our commercial development site in Great Sutton Nr Ellesmere Port.
In this role you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across various construction and refurbishment projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, ensuring they meet safety standards and aesthetic expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse sites, utilizing your technical skills and strong work ethic to contribute to outstanding project outcomes.
The rate of pay is based on CIS and will depend upon experience and pay status of the applicant.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and attention to detail.
- Operate IPAF-approved equipment such as cherry pickers or scaffolding to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas safely.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to coordinate work schedules and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organising tools and disposing of waste responsibly.
- Follow health and safety regulations rigorously, including the proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met accurately.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Valid IPAF certification is essential for operating elevated access equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work at heights safely using IPAF-approved equipment and scaffolding systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to construction sites.

Pay: £18.00 per hour
