Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Part Time Sales Assistant to join our retail team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop customer service skills and gain experience in a dynamic retail environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining store displays, and supporting the overall smooth operation of the shop. Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends, holiday leave, mornings & evenings is necessary. Please note we are ideally looking for a candidate over 18 years old.
Duties
- Welcome customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
- Provide product information and advice to help customers make informed choices
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Restock shelves and ensure displays are tidy and attractive
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop
- Assist in stock management, including receiving deliveries and organising stockroom storage
- Address customer queries promptly and professionally
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic attitude towards customers
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Organised with good attention to detail
- Basic numeracy skills for handling cash transactions
- Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends and evenings if required

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour

Must be flexible mornings, evenings and weekends. Not suitable for students returning to education in September.
