Located in the centre of Hebden Bridge, Square One Coffee Co. is a small, independent café dedicated to serving great coffee and homemade cakes alongside a light food menu.
We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic individual to join our close-knit team. While experience is beneficial, we prioritise a great attitude, so if this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
We work with clear systems and standards, so consistency and attention to detail are important.
About the Role
- Part-time (20-30 hours per week).
- Reliable hours with seasonal variation (more in summer, fewer in winter).
- Daytime shifts (8:30am earliest - 5:30pm latest), days to vary and include weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages including coffees, smoothies and milkshakes.
- Ensure every customer has a positive experience.
- Restock supplies and ensure the café remains well-organised throughout shifts.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold food safety standards.
Desirable Skills and Attributes
- Barista experience - though training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Experience in serving customers in a busy environment.
- Knowledge of food safety.
- Good basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock management.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours.
- Friendly, positive and professional.
- Able to use initiative and work as part of a team.
