Leicester College is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Sports Coach to join our thriving Sports Academy team. This exciting opportunity combines hands-on coaching experience, and the opportunity to lead the Men's Football Pathway Squad through the competitive season, with the chance to gain a nationally recognised Level 4 Sports Coach Apprenticeship qualification.
Working alongside experienced sports professionals, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality coaching sessions, supporting student-athletes to reach their potential, and contributing to the growth of our wider Sports Academy programme.
This role is ideal for an aspiring coach who wants to develop their practical coaching skills while gaining valuable experience in an educational sporting environment.
About the Role
As Apprentice Sports Coach, you will lead and support coaching provision within the Men's Football Academy, delivering engaging and development-focused sessions for Further Education students.
You will work closely with the Sport Development Officer to develop the football pathway, support competitive fixtures, and help create a positive and inclusive sporting experience for all participants across the Academies.
Alongside your day-to-day coaching responsibilities, you will undertake a Level 4 Sports Coach Apprenticeship, applying your learning directly within the role to develop your coaching knowledge, leadership skills and professional practice.

You should have the following:
- Level 2 minimum in Maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent).
- Level 3 Qualification in Sport, Coaching or equivalent
- Minimum of UEFA C Diploma (FA Level 2) Coaching
