We are seeking an enthusiastic Locum Consultant Paediatrician with specialist interest in allergy.
This is a 12-month, 6PA Locum Consultant Paediatrician post.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of individuals devoted to providing the very best care for our patients.
This post offers an excellent opportunity to join a busy and dynamic Paediatric Allergy team, delivering outpatient and elective allergy assessment and care.
This post is based at Watford General Hospital site with outpatient clinics at Hemel Hempstead Hospital site
The Paediatric Allergy service at West Hertfordshire Hospitals provides diagnostic and management advice for children with a wide range of atopic conditions including food allergies, allergic respiratory, gastrointestinal and skin conditions. The service is multi-disciplinary led by consultants and specialist nurse and supported by dieticians and nurses.
The post-holder will provide three outpatient allergy clinics each week across both sites. The post-holder will also support Day Unit allergy activity and elective service development. This includes clinical supervision and input with activities such as oral food challenges and immunotherapy and contribution to departmental training and education teaching and simulation programmes.
With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.
