We have a large store in the centre of Harrogate and a strong online presence. We stock the leading brands of furniture, beds and upholstery (eg Himolla, Ercol, GPlan, Venjakob, ViSpring, Harrison, Hypnos) and have a good reputation and relationship with our suppliers. We have our own delivery teams who also help maintain our Trustpilot score.
About the role
Our sales roles don’t come up very often, we have an experienced team of sales advisors who love working with us. This opportunity is to grow our team, to support our increasing sales. It’s a great opportunity to join a successful, dynamic business and to become a member of a friendly and ambitious team.
It will be your job to deliver a best-in-class sales and customer service experience to our highly valued customers. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, along with a professional and flexible attitude and a keen eye for detail.
You will work as part of our sales team and also interface with our warehouse team and our suppliers. You will be the expert point of contact for your customers and guide them on all aspects of their purchase.
We are a small, diligent and dedicated team. We do what’s needed to get the job done right, so flexibility is very important. No two days are the same.
You will help to ensure that the showroom is a friendly, clean, tidy and safe environment for everyone within it. This includes merchandising the various brand displays.
Our store is open seven days a week, from 0900-1730 Monday to Saturday and 1030-1630 on Sundays. You will work five days out of seven, at least one of which will be at the weekend. We will agree working days with the successful candidate.
About you
You will be experienced in retail sales and have furniture sales experience. You will be self-motivated and have a positive, can-do attitude. Enthusiastic to learn about our product ranges and to keep this knowledge up to date, you will also have a general interest in keeping up to date on interior design trends.
You will be recognised for your passion for, and pride in delivering outstanding customer service.
You will able to communicate well with customers and colleagues, and use your problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles. You do this with both confidence and empathy, thus developing trusting relationships.
You will have good organisational skills, enabling you to follow the business processes related to sales.
A reasonable level of IT competence is required. Enough to ensure smooth delivery of customer service and order management.
