Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Van Driver to join our Luxury Mobile Dog Grooming team. You will be comfortable driving a large van in and around central London. The Start location of each day can be at a choice of St Johns Wood/Paddington (to be discussed). You play a vital role in the daily running of each day which involves driving the groomer to clients' locations, ensuring a smooth and efficient service. You will be setting up at each location ready to assist your groomer (team member) in anything they may need. Full training is to be provided . You do not take the van home. The ideal candidate will have a passion for dogs, understand basic handling of dogs and have basic customer service skills. You must have the ability to handle physical tasks with care and professionalism. Duties
- Safely operate the mobile grooming van, adhering to all road safety regulations
- Transport dogs and grooming supplies to various client locations across the area
- Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment and supplies
- Ensure the safety and comfort of animals during transit and grooming sessions
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the van and equipment after each appointment
- Provide friendly, professional customer service to clients before, during, and after appointments
- Follow health and safety protocols related to animal care and vehicle operation
- Washing and Drying dogs when necessary (training provide)
Qualifications
- Previous experience of animal care background is desirable but not essential
- Strong commitment to animal welfare and safety
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Ability to lift items safely, including wires, grooming equipment and animals when necessary
- Valid driving licence with a maximum of 3 points driving record
- Organised, reliable, and able to work in a team
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is advantageous but not required
