Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)

Ace Vets is looking for an enthusiastic, confident and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our growing independent practice.
We are looking for a nurse who enjoys providing excellent patient care, thrives in a busy clinical environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards across all aspects of veterinary nursing.
This is a hands-on clinical role, offering the opportunity to work closely with our veterinary surgeons across medicine, surgery and inpatient care, while being part of a supportive and friendly team.
The Role
You will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the practice, helping to deliver outstanding care to both patients and clients.
You will be involved in all aspects of veterinary nursing, including anaesthesia, surgical support, inpatient care, nurse consultations and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to hospitalised patients
- Monitor anaesthesia and recover patients safely following procedures
- Assist veterinary surgeons during consultations, diagnostics and surgery
- Perform Schedule 3 nursing procedures where appropriate
- Carry out nurse consultations and provide preventative healthcare advice
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care and recovery
- Ensure high standards of hygiene, organisation and infection control throughout the practice
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and clinical areas
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic
- Work collaboratively with the wider veterinary team
- Contribute ideas to improve patient care and clinical efficiency

- Qualified and Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)

Ideal Experience
- Experience working in a busy small animal practice (newly qualified nurses will also be considered)
- Confidence with anaesthesia and inpatient care
- Experience assisting with a variety of surgical procedures
- Good understanding of infection control and clinical protocols
