Kitchen Assistant/Pot Wash
Full training can be provided
We are looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to help maintain our high kitchen standards and support our catering staff during busy periods.
Responsibilities
- Wash cookware, utensils and cutlery fast to keep them in rotation
- Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, cookers, walls) clean and sanitized
- Arrange equipment and ingredient deliveries and keep the food and supply storage areas organized
- Sweep and mop floors at the end of shift
- Take out the rubbish
- Possibly (depending on experience) help with routine food prep tasks such as peeling and chopping vegetables, sandwich, toasties etc when required
Requirements and skills
- A fast learner with an interest in kitchen work
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety rules
- Good organizational skills
- The ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment and under pressure
- Patience and cool-headedness
2/3 days per week - mainly weekdays
Hours 10.00am to 3.00-4.00pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
