Registered Manager — Domiciliary Care | Wirral | £38,000 – £45,000 FTE | Full-time or part-time
Above and Beyond Homecare is opening a new domiciliary care branch on the Wirral, and we are looking for the Registered Manager who will build it.
You must have previously held registration with the Care Quality Commission as a Registered Manager in Domiciliary Care . This is not negotiable — the whole point of the role is that you have done this before.
About Us:
We are part of Platinum Homecare 4U Limited, which also runs a Nursing Home in Prenton and a domiciliary branch in Hertfordshire. So this is a start-up branch with a group behind it: funded, supported, and with local relationships already in place. You get to build a service to your own standard without carrying the risk yourself.
The location is subject to CQC registration and your appointment is conditional on it being granted. We fund and support the application — and you are paid from your start date, however long the CQC takes.
What we expect from you:
- Submit the CQC location and Registered Manager applications and prepare for the fit person interview
- Recruit and induct the first care team, and set up the office and systems (Birdie, rostering, on-call, audits)
- Register with Wirral or Neighbouring Councils for framework and spot work, engage brokerage and the ICB for CHC packages, and build private-pay clients
- Hold day-to-day accountability for quality, safety and compliance with the fundamental standards and CQC’s single assessment framework
- Act as branch safeguarding lead and manage complaints, incidents and statutory notifications
- Lead and develop the team, and run the branch P&L as it grows
What you need
- Previous CQC registration as a Registered Manager — please say where and when in your application
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or recognised equivalent
- Substantial domiciliary care management experience, including rostering, on-call and field supervision
- Sound working knowledge of the Regulated Activities Regulations 2014, the Mental Capacity Act, adult safeguarding and community medication management
- Full UK driving licence
- Enhanced DBS with adult barred list (we will process this)
- Right to work in the UK — we cannot offer visa sponsorship
What we offer
- £38,000 – £45,000 per year FTE, pro rata for part-time, reviewed after registration and at 12 months
- On-call paid separately: £15 per weekday, £40 per weekend day. The rota is shared with a Deputy Manager or Care Coordinator as the branch grows
