RESPONSIBILITES
Complex Care
You will be responsible to provide care for a young adult with complex health needs. You will be working alongside a team of his experienced PA's to provide 2:1 support. You will liaise with his multidisciplinary team of therapist and ensure he accesses a full therapy program. There may be some occasional weekend cover required.
This young adult really enjoys drama, music therapy, baking, rebound therapy, arts and crafts and hydrotherapy. He is non verbal but uses symbols and an eye gaze to communicate. He is PEG fed, past experience of PEG feeding, suctioning, epilepsy, hoisting/manual handling, non verbal communication (symbols) is essential. He requires full support for personal care and daily living. WE OFFER:
- Great rates of pay available £18.20-£20.20/hr

- Range of shifts 6hrs-12hrs,
- Part time work 1 to 3 shifts/week or full time work
CARER REQUIREMENT
We are looking for conscientious, dedicated, reliable individuals to join our team
- Good communication skills, experience of clients who are non verbal is preferable (eg symbols) and use of Eye gaze equipment is preferable
- A minimum of at least 5-years Care experience in complex care needs (PEG feeding, suction)
- Must be flexible and available to cover occasional shifts during weekends.
- Full drivers’ license own vehicle is essential (Not on a bus route route)
- Bank account in the UK
- Written and spoken English to an intermediate level
- Must be in good health and have a good attendance record.
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Must be a non-smoker

- Care Assistant in complex care : minimum 5years (essential) (Suction, epilepsy, PEG feeding, chest physio, client is non verbal but understands )
- Care assistant in paediatrics or young adults (not elderly)
- Work experience in special needs school/college (ideal but not essential)
