Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV), also known as a Category C vehicle, to deliver goods efficiently and reliably to various locations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition.
- Load and unload goods with care.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimize efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including delivery notes and logs.
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial driver
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards for Class 2 HGV vehicles.
- Delivery driver experience with a focus on timely deliveries and customer service.
- Good organizational skills to manage routes, schedules, and documentation efficiently.
