We are seeking a reliable and experienced Seasonal Beekeeper to support hive management across several apiary sites on the Llŷn Peninsula. This role is ideal for someone who already has commitments (work, family, farming, self‑employment) and wants flexible hours that can grow into a more established position over time if desired.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out hive inspections during the active season
- Monitor colony health, brood patterns, and disease indicators
- Assist with swarm control and seasonal management tasks
- Add/remove supers and support honey production cycles
- Maintain accurate, simple records of hive status
- Occasional support with extraction and processing

- Flexible hours depending on weather and colony needs

- Hours may increase as the business expands and hive numbers grow

Essential Skills & Experience
- Practical beekeeping experience (hobbyist or commercial)
- Confident handling colonies independently
- Good understanding of bee health and seasonal management
- Ability to work safely and calmly around bees
- Full UK driving licence and transport to reach rural sites
Desirable
- Experience with honey extraction
- Familiarity with coastal or rural apiary environments
Pay
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
- Mileage or travel arrangements can be discussed
Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
