Assistant Sales Manager
Location: Southend
Salary: OTE £60,000 £25,000 Basic + Commission and Company Car
The role operates across a 5-day working week, including weekends and bank holidays
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Sales Manager to join a successful and well-established automotive retailer in Southend.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Executive or Assistant Sales Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career and join a growing, customer-focused team.
The Role
As Assistant Sales Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Sales Management team and driving performance across the dealership.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and managing a team of Sales Executives
- Selling vehicles and maximising additional sales opportunities
- Promoting and selling service plans
- Maintaining and managing the sales diary
- Working closely with the Service Department to meet customer requirements
- Helping drive sales performance and customer satisfaction
- Supporting dealership events and occasional off-site sales events
- Delivering an exceptional customer experience from enquiry through to vehicle handover
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years' experience in a Sales Management or Assistant Sales Management position within the motor trade
- Strong automotive sales experience
- Proven ability to motivate and support a sales team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A confident, target-driven approach
- Strong organisational skills
- A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months
