Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive DS Security (RST) professional to uphold the safety and security of our facilities. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, preventing loss, and ensuring a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to safety will help maintain a secure, efficient operation while fostering a sense of confidence and protection across the organization.
Duties
- Conduct continuous surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity across the premises and identify potential security threats.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when necessary to prevent theft or damage.
- Manage access control by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors entering or exiting the facility.
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, coordinating with first responders and providing first aid if required.
- Perform routine inspections of security equipment, including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and fencing, ensuring all devices are operational.
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and surveillance footage for reporting and review purposes.
- Educate staff on security protocols and best practices to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in surveillance operations, loss prevention, or security roles preferred.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance technology.
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations with calmness and decisiveness.
- Basic knowledge of first aid procedures and certification is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with an eye for detail and suspicious activity detection.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and emergency responders.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining focus on surveillance duties.
