The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional, and reliable Gymnastics Coach to join our growing coaching team.
You will deliver engaging, structured, and age-appropriate gymnastics sessions for primary school children aged 5–13 years, helping them develop balance, coordination, flexibility, strength, confidence, and body awareness in a safe and supportive environment.

What You'll Deliver
Sessions may include:
- Fundamental gymnastics skills appropriate for primary-aged children
- Floor work and basic gymnastics movements
- Balance, coordination, flexibility and strength exercises
- Rolling, jumping and landing techniques
- Agility and movement development
- Fun circuits and gymnastics-based games
- Confidence-building activities through progressive skill development
- Safe, structured activities adapted to different ages and abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, fun, structured and inclusive gymnastics sessions.
- Create a positive learning environment where every child feels encouraged and supported.
- Teach gymnastics safely while promoting confidence, discipline, perseverance and teamwork.
- Adapt activities to suit different ages, abilities and learning styles.
- Maintain excellent behaviour management throughout sessions.
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are always followed.
- Set up and pack away gymnastics equipment before and after sessions.
- Maintain attendance registers where required.
- Communicate professionally with schools, parents and the Serge Betsen Sports team.
- Act as a positive role model for all participants.
- Report any safeguarding or welfare concerns in line with company procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Recognised Gymnastics Coaching Qualification (British Gymnastics or equivalent).
- Minimum Level 1 Gymnastics Coach (Level 2 preferred).
- Experience coaching children aged 5–13 years.
- Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Valid Safeguarding Children Certificate.
- Valid Emergency First Aid Certificate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Passionate about developing young people through sport.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- British Gymnastics Level 2 Coach.
- Experience delivering after-school clubs.
- Experience working within primary schools.
- Experience delivering holiday camps or community sports programmes.
- Experience coaching recreational gymnastics.
- Full UK Driving Licence (desirable but not essential).
