Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, providing clear direction and support to ensure smooth daily operations
- Develop and design creative menus that align with the establishment’s concept and customer preferences
- Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met at all times
- Manage food safety protocols, maintaining compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies
- Monitor inventory levels, minimise waste, and optimise utilisation of resources
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering professional development and teamwork
- Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently during service hours, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing a diverse culinary team
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, hospitality standards, and serving procedures
- Experience in food production across various cuisines is desirable
- Prior kitchen experience in a fast-paced setting is essential to succeed in this role
- A recognised culinary qualification or equivalent professional training is preferred
