Rate: Council Grade 1 (Facilities Management)
Pay: £12.85/hour (PAYE)

We're recruiting a Cleaner to support Homes in Somerset. This is a key role, ideal for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
About the Role
As a Cleaner, you'll provide essential cleaning services across Homes in Somerset accommodation and halls, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation are maintained.
What you'll be doing:
- Carrying out cleaning duties across Homes in Somerset accommodation and halls
- Cleaning all assigned areas to the required standard and specification
- Working independently and as part of the cleaning team
- Vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining communal areas
- Cleaning kitchens and toilet facilities to a high standard
- Removing rubbish and recycling safely
- Following manual handling procedures and health & safety guidelines at all times
- Working professionally and courteously with colleagues, staff, and visitors
- Promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of the role
Requirements:
We're looking for someone reliable, proactive, and able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
You'll ideally have:
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- An up-to-date CV provided at application
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards
- Understanding of health & safety procedures, including manual handling
- Previous cleaning experience in residential, accommodation, or communal settings (desirable)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organised, and able to manage workload effectively
