About the Role
As a Driver, you will be responsible for collecting deceased pets from veterinary practices and clients' homes and returning pets' ashes with dignity, care, and compassion. You will act as a key ambassador for Dignity, building strong relationships with veterinary partners and providing exceptional customer service to pet owners.
You will also ensure that all collections, records, and vehicle-related processes are completed accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect deceased pets from veterinary practices, clients' homes, and other approved locations.
- Return pets' ashes to veterinary practices and pet owners in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with veterinary teams.
- Ensure every pet is treated with dignity and handled in accordance with company procedures.
- Accurately record pet details, personal belongings, and collection information within company systems.
- Apply identification processes to ensure complete traceability.
- Support cool room management and ensure pets are stored appropriately.
- Work closely with the Driver Team Leader to plan routes and client visits effectively.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and complete vehicle condition records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-equipped vehicle at all times.
- Adhere to all road safety legislation and company policies.
- Report vehicle damage or maintenance concerns promptly.
