Portway Farm Shop is well renowned for our home reared beef, quality local meat, artisan goods and fresh local produce. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to work in the Farm Shop and Café.
What You'll Be Doing
· Serving customers, packing retail orders and assisting with the production of food for sale.
· Making Barista Coffee’s and a full range of hot drinks and cold drinks.
· Make a range of sandwiches and ready to eat products
· Working with the butchery team to complete customer orders.
· Helping replenish stock, manage stock rotation, and inventory products, to helping to minimise food waste.
· Creating eye-catching displays that showcase our fantastic range of food and produce.
· Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Complying with all relevant regulations.
· Completing daily checks e.g. temperature checks, to ensure that we are compliant with all legal requirements.
· Cleaning and assisting in the kitchen.
What We're Looking For
Ideally you will have:
· Retail experience. Preferably within a farm shop/deli environment.
· A passion for food quality and an understanding of local and seasonal produce.
· Previous Barista experience is essential.
· Willing to get stuck in and work as part of a team.
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Full driving licence to assist with deliveries
