Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to children in a residential setting. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care tailored to each child's individual needs, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Implement and review personalized care plans in collaboration with colleagues, families, and external professionals
- Support children with daily routines such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, education, and recreational activities
- Foster positive communication with children, listening actively and encouraging open dialogue to build trust
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and progress reports using IT systems
- Drive children to appointments, activities, or outings safely and responsibly as part of their development plan
- Promote a supportive environment that encourages independence, self-esteem, and social skills development
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a care or childcare setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of child development principles and experience creating or following care plans
- Valid driving license with experience driving safely in various conditions is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, colleagues, and external agencies
- Familiarity with IT systems for record-keeping and reporting purposes
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure while managing challenging situations effectively
