We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
- Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering medication guidance under supervision
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and stock levels
- Support medication administration processes where applicable, ensuring safety and compliance
- Organise and manage pharmacy stock, including ordering and inventory checks
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of medicines and equipment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser (1-2 years experience required)
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to effectively support patient care and collaborate with healthcare professionals
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A recognised qualification or certification related to pharmacy dispens role.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to professional standards
Pay: £12.71-£12.90 per hour
