Pasha Restaurant & Shisha Lounge is one of Bradford’s leading restaurant and lounge destinations, offering a premium dining, shisha and entertainment experience in a large, vibrant venue.
We combine quality food, an extensive shisha offering, live sports and entertainment with a strong focus on customer service and atmosphere.
As a busy, high-capacity venue, particularly during evenings, weekends, major sporting events and special occasions, we are looking for an experienced and highly capable Assistant Manager to join our management team and help drive Pasha to the next level.
This is not simply a supervisory position. We are looking for someone who has genuine experience of helping to run a large restaurant and shisha lounge, manage staff, maintain high operational standards and take responsibility for the venue when required.
The Role
As Assistant Manager, you will work closely with senior management and take an active role in the day-to-day running of Pasha.
You will be expected to lead from the front, manage busy services confidently and ensure that our customers receive a consistently high standard of service.
You will have responsibility across the restaurant and lounge operation, including staffing, customer service, food hygiene, health & safety, cleanliness, compliance and general operational standards.
You must be comfortable taking control of the venue and making decisions when senior management are not present.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting senior management with the overall day-to-day operation of Pasha
- Running busy shifts and taking responsibility for the venue when required
- Leading, motivating and managing a large hospitality team
- Managing front-of-house, restaurant and lounge operations
- Ensuring excellent levels of customer service throughout the venue
- Managing staff rotas, attendance, punctuality and shift cover
- Monitoring staff performance and addressing issues professionally
- Assisting with recruitment, interviews, onboarding and staff training
- Ensuring staff are correctly trained and following company procedures
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and food safety standards
- Ensuring all relevant Health & Safety procedures are followed
- Carrying out opening and closing procedures
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the premises
- Overseeing shisha lounge operations and maintaining high service standards
- Monitoring stock, wastage and operational costs
- Handling customer complaints and resolving issues professionally
- Supporting major sporting events, entertainment nights and other high-volume trading periods
- Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed consistently
- Identifying areas where service, efficiency and profitability can be improved
- Working closely with the kitchen, front-of-house, bar and shisha teams to ensure smooth communication and operation
- Creating a professional, disciplined and positive working environment
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced hospitality manager who is confident, professional and capable of working in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Applicants must have:
- Previous management experience within a large and busy restaurant
- Previous experience working within or managing a shisha lounge
- Strong experience managing and supervising staff
- Experience preparing and managing staff rotas
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and food safety
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
- Experience managing busy evening and weekend services
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- The confidence to deal with complaints and challenging situations
- The ability to remain calm and organised during extremely busy periods
- A hands-on management style and willingness to support the team wherever required
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A professional attitude and high personal standards
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and late nights as required by the business
A recognised Food Hygiene/Food Safety qualification and relevant Health & Safety training would be highly advantageous.
The Person
Pasha is a fast-moving venue and we need someone who enjoys being part of the operation rather than managing from the sidelines.
You should be the type of manager who notices when something isn't right and deals with it.
Whether that means supporting a member of staff, speaking to a customer, checking standards, helping during a busy service or ensuring the venue is ready for a major event, we expect our management team to lead by example.
You will need to be firm but fair, approachable to staff, professional with customers and confident enough to make decisions.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can bring new ideas to the business and help us continually improve our service, staff performance and overall customer experience.
Working Hours
This is a full-time management position working 6 days per week.
Due to the nature of the hospitality and shisha industry, applicants must be flexible regarding working hours. The role will include evenings, weekends, late nights, major sporting events and busy holiday periods.

Experience
Essential:
- Restaurant/Hospitality Management: 2+ years preferred
- Staff Management: 2+ years preferred
- Experience within a Shisha Lounge or similar environment
- Food Hygiene/Food Safety knowledge
- Health & Safety knowledge
